Mary Mackie is the author of sixty-eight books in various genres of fiction and non-fiction, original English-language hardbacks being produced by publishers in both the UK and the USA, with numerous subsidiary editions plus translations into some twenty foreign languages – including Greek and Hebrew!

Apart from these full-length books, Mary has published many short stories and articles and has had several one-act plays produced on the amateur stage. She is the founder of four separate writing groups and has taught several well-filled classes in Creative Writing.

She is also a popular public speaker and travels far and wide to give talks, offering a range of subjects from the ups and downs of her writing career to the true-life history researched for her non-fiction. Wearing another hat, she is an active member of the local Theatre Club and on the committee as Newsletter Editor and Web Mistress. See princesstheatreclub.co.uk

She and her husband Chris live on the coast of eastern England, in beautiful Norfolk, not far from Sandringham House, the country home of Queen Elizabeth II. They have two brilliant and successful sons, two charming daughters-in-law and four wonderful (of course) grandchildren. (Are you reading this, family?)
